First Came The Depression

It was bound to happen to the Muggles. You see it's a cycle and a vicious one at that. Boom, recession, and then depression with of course the last one skipped from time to time if the Muggles are lucky. This time it wasn't skipped though and this time it hit harder then ever. It wasn't just one nation but all of them world wide. So caught up in their technology the Muggles have failed and the whole world was in a downward spiral. Well almost the whole world.....

The wizarding world had been spared from the impacts of the depression and actually was thriving as the Muggles were failing. As always they stayed out of the Muggles business tending to themselves and enjoy the boom in their society. The Ministry of Magic was running at top efficiency and there hadn't been any real trouble in nearly a decade and all seemed quiet on the home front. That was the thing though nothing was ever as it seemed when things got that quiet in the wizarding world, nothing.

Then Came The War
Everyone saw it coming. It wasn't like it was a secret muggles and wizards a like knew it was going to happen. What they didn't realize was that what would be World War Three would be just that a full scale World War. Missiles flew, people died, and mighty nations crumbled all the while the leaders of the world pushed forward until one by one they wiped each other off the face of the earth. There was no supreme reign of dominance, no mighty nation left standing, and lastly none of the precious technology that had lead the muggles to their current state. All that remained were ruins, religious fanatics and small untouched towns from place to place. That was of course excepted in wizarding worlds. They had stayed out of the war doing what they could in secret to protect their homes and towns from the destruction the Muggles leveled around them. It was done well and there towns were found to be the most fruitful and untouched. Diagon Alley and the shops surrounding it stand and for some reason that area of town seems to be the main move for reconstruction in the U.K. and one of the more civilized areas. Things seemed well for the wizarding world at least it did at that point.

Next Came the Witch Hunts
It was bound to happen really. The world needed a scapegoat and one that was viable after the war as it climbed back to its feet. Thrust into a dark age even with their remaining technology and transportation the muggles needed someone to blame, someone that they could put all their troubles on now that it was over, and the power hungry leaders were gone. It was almost criminal how easily the pointed the first finger and blame at, us, the wizards and witches I mean. They don't know we exist that'd make too much sense no they just are acting as they did over a thousand years ago and throwing anyone they expect to be a witch or wizard into the fire. Taking what guns and ammunition they have left and pounding it into the bodies of whoever they think is magical. People are dying whether they are or aren't but I'd be lying if I said a fair amount of our number haven't fallen. This isn't helped by the Ministry's paranoia and what they deem to be a lack of magical blood. The number of students at Hogwarts is dwindling and it isn't only because of the hunts. More and more squibs are being born. Muggle children who show the first hint of magical talent are being whisked away by the Ministry and even if there isn't a family for them to go. Orphanages are overflowing in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade and marriages are being forced by the Ministry. That time of quiet for us is over. We've joined the downward spiral of mankind.

And Lastly Came The Shadows
There are those though who try to act as if life is going on as normal in the wizarding world despite their forced marriages and their friends being killed left and right. As always though there are those who are determined to rise up against the muggles and those who oppose them. The Shadowclaws have emerged at the forefront of this and while there are only whispers of them in the dark corners they seem posed to take over. To force the muggles into submission so they can rule the world. The Ministry on the other hand is working tirelessly to try and maintain order and make the magical population what it once was. The marriage law spares no exceptions to anyone about to turn eighteen or older and has forced everyone but the married couples already together to find a partner. There are grumblings in the dark about another group one that is to be the shining beacon of hope to the world but little is known even by me about how they will effect the rebirth of the world.[/center][/size]

And who am I?

I'm just a school boy who knows a little too much and has dug a little too far. I'm in too deep but I'm not alone we're never alone here it seems. I just hope you get this letter in time and understand why they left you there. Why the left all of us. I must go now though send nothing by return owl just know we're with you.

Claws

I'm its defender, the wizarding worlds vigilant protector that sees all. Whatever happens whenever it happens I'll be there and ready to take it down by the throat. They called me paranoid, they said I worried too much and here I am alive. I've run through every scenario, seen ever possible outcome, and just know I'm ready for them and I'm watching out for you. It's best though that you don't know who I am and that the rest of what was said in this letter is between us. The Ministry hasn't taken too kindly to people talking ill of them as late. Don't burn this though keep it as a reminder that I am always here.

I'm just someone whose enjoying the show. I'm it's biggest player on its grandest stage they just don't know it yet but they will. You see I'm the one whose going to put a smile on each and everyone of their faces and have a good laugh while doing it. See here's a little secret this new world I don't want it to end OH NO I want it to go on as long as it can. They want something to fear I'll give it to them in spades although I'm more of a wild card myself HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
