Lydia looked around her shabby apartment, a silent sigh making it's way through her lips. She brushed a hand over the chipped paint, knowing she was going to have to do something about that before her family came to visit again. Her family - oi. She groaned in her head. She hated her parents.
Not bothering to pick up her leather jacket, she passed in to her room and looked around. She hadn't been here since...had it been two weeks? She had been away. Exploring the new college. She sighed again, bringing herself from her wondering thoughts. You're doing it again, Dia. said Mercedes' thoughts. Lydia should have known she'd be listening.
I hate it when you do that. Come over here. I need to see someone normal. the blonde replied. She laughed mentally at her own joke. It was stupid, but what can you do? Maybe I will. See ya soon. Lydia smirked and looked out the window, where she could clearly see her shiny black motorcycle parked in it's usual spot.[/blockquote]

Lately, since that vampire dream, vision - whatever it was, Mercedes had been checking on her friend Lydia more and more often. It wasn't hard not too. Mer could see the people she was closest to more easily than complete strangers. I hate it when you do that. Mer chuckled at that.
Wasting no time, Mercedes hopped into her old Mustang. It's black paint was faded and chipped. It looked like a hunk of junk but, she wouldn't trade anything in the world for it. She loved that car. It took her a whole five minutes to get to Lydia's apartment. Merecedes liked to speed, and she had mental images that told her when cops were around so, she never really gets caught doing it. Plus, Mer didn't live too far from Lydia. She felt she needed to stick close.
Mer left her car parked in front of Lydia's apartment building. She didn't bother locking it, no one would steal her hunk of junk, plus she would know before anyone did any how. With a smile, Merecedes skipped up to the entrance, and up to Lydia's door. See, what did I tell you? she thought toward Lydia. She opened the door, finding it unlocked, which worried her, and walked in.

Lydia heard Mer's old Mustang before she saw it, but she didn't bother going out to the front/living room to meet her friend. Obviously this was where she would be. She always was. Smiling slightly, Dia flipped on the radio in her room, the country station was on. Turning the dial slightly, she changed it to classic heavy metal. Something more Mercedes' style. Yeah, yeah yeah. she finally replied. Come on in, why don't you? she asked sarcastically as she heard the door open.
She sat down on her bed and kicked off her combat boots. Lydia peeked her head through the open door of her bedroom and saw Mercedes standing there. She smiled and gestured her in. She pulled her hair back from her neck and glanced at her friend. What's going on? Find any more on my mystery dream man?

Mercedes let out a soft laugh. "Oh please, it's not like you didn't hear me coming," she voiced out loud. There was no need to think everything now. Lydia maybe be mute but, she wasn't deaf. She sort of smiled at the music, glad that Lydia didn't have that boring country crap on. Mer hated that music. She dated a guy once who lived by it.
What's going on? Find any more on my mystery dream man? Did she have to bring that up so quickly? Mercedes wasn't going to bring her own vision up. It was something she blocked herself from thinking of. She slipped off her shoes, leaving them lay by the door. Trying to think of what to say, without actually thinking it so Dia would here, Mer took her time getting to the bedroom. "I haven't seen anything about him, if that's what you're asking," she said - feeling guilty for lying about it. "How did it go again?"

Lydia snorted at what she said. Anyone can hear you coming about five miles away, Mer. She rocked her feet back and forth over the edge of her bed and looked up at Mer. She hadn't heard anything about him? How...totally predictable. This guy was a vampire, of course there wouldn't be a lot on him. Again, V A M P I R E.
Dia sighed as she was asked to repeat the dream yet again. In a room...first it looks like Vincent...then his eyes change....I try to get away...he catches me...and I get bit. Honestly, I've been thinking (big surprise), but I think when his eyes change, it's not him. It's that twin brother we saw in his file. Uhm, what's his name....Lyric. she suggested. It sounded logical, but who can be sure?

"Hey, he maybe loud but, he's dependable," Mercedes defended playfully. She invited herself to sit down on the bed. She nodded and listened as Lydia ran off her dream again. It was almost the same thing as she had seen. It has to be changeable some how. Vincent didn't seem to the type to randomly go bite someone he knew. The whole eye thing didn't really make sense to Mer though.
"Vampires eyes usually change with their thirst," she said. "So, maybe it's nothing. It could just be a normal dream," she suggested. Mercedes knew it was far from the truth. When it came to their social circle, nothing seemed out of the norm for them. Vampires, Seers, Telepathics...it was all just apart of their daily lives. So, when a repetitive dream like these goes on, it's usually serious. "You'll let me know if anything changes, right? If you have it again? Dia, the smallest change in detail could change the course of the future."
Mer's eyes widened slightly. She hoped that Lydia didn't take her comment as a hint. She hadn't intended on it at all. It was bound to happen sooner or later though. Mercedes' visions would be know soon enough - especially if they didn't change anytime soon. She felt slightly uneasy waiting for Lydia to respond.

but mer, you know me. I don't have normal dreams. Ever. Lydia protested against the suggestion. She knew it wasn't some normal dream. She'd never had a "normal" dream in her life. That just wasn't her. It never was and never will be. She was just "special". One of the "weird" kids at school. But that didn't bother her one bit. What bothered her was this dream. It scared her.
I promise I'll tell you if the dream changes in the slightest bit. Dia said, knowing this dream was so important to her friends. Janielle, Mercedes, Lynn. They all needed to know what was going to happen next. It was like a good book that you can't put down..and Lydia was the author.
Laying back on her bed she turned her head to look at Mercedes through her blonde locks. Check out the school today? she asked.

Mer breathed a sigh of relief to herself. She wasn't sure how long she was going to keep her own vision to herself. Mercedes saw more into the situation that what came to Lydia's mind. Lydia was lucky. Mer didn't want her friend to see any of it. It was too horrible. She nodded at Dia's promise - knowing she would keep it.
Mercedes nodded, "I guess you could say that. I mean, it's not anything different from when we saw it during orientation." She sighed, and layed down on her side with a cheeky grin. "I did see tons of cute guys though," she added.

Lydia's eyes brightened as they got onto the subject of the new school. Cute guys, eh? Get any digits? You always do, she said, smirking openly. She loved hearing about how Mer got underneath people's skin. She always had some way into it, and especially had a way with boys. She scratched the back of her head, grinning.

Mer smirked, and shrugged her shoulders. "I might have..." Actually, Merecedes hadn't In fact, she wasn't actually looking with intentions - like she normally did. Instead, she was looking out Vincent. If he had plans of turning her friend - he was up for a rude awakening. Then again, it wasn't Vincent in the vision - it was someone else, someone that looked like him. "I didn't," she said with a sigh. "I don't think it's safe to get invovled with anyone. Not with this whole vis--- dream thing going on." Damm it! she cursed herself, at least she caught herself but, Merecedes was sure Lydia would catch on.
